Why MPA for Folders · No. 01

Print, die-cut, and fold, all under one roof.

A presentation folder is really three jobs in one: a printed sheet, a die-cut pocket, and a clean fold. Many printers send the cutting and folding out, which adds handoffs and risk. MPA does all three with our own team in Lakeland, so the pockets line up, the fold is crisp, and the schedule stays in our hands.

01 / 03

Die-cutting in the building

Pockets and business-card slits are die-cut on our own equipment. That means tighter registration between the print and the cut, and no waiting on an outside finisher to free up time on their schedule.

02 / 03

Built for business volume

A short run for a single pitch or thousands for a multi-office sales program - we are set up for both. Recurring folder programs can be standardized so you are not re-specifying the die wave after wave.

03 / 03

Ships anywhere in the US

From one Lakeland facility we serve commercial customers across all 50 states. Folders ship flat or pre-folded and protected, and often travel with the inserts and collateral we print for the same program.

What They Are

The folder that carries the pitch.

A presentation folder is the cover for everything you hand a prospect: the proposal, the spec sheets, the case study, the rep's card. It is the first thing seen and the last thing left behind, and a well-made one signals that the company inside takes itself seriously.

The anatomy

Pocket, Slit, Fold

A

The standard 9 x 12 folder swallows letter-size pages with room to spare. One or two die-cut pockets hold the contents, a diagonal slit grips a business card, and a clean score-and-fold keeps the whole thing flat and sharp.

  • 9 x 12 holds 8.5 x 11 inserts with margin
  • Single or double die-cut pockets
  • Business-card slit for the rep's card
  • Scored and folded to lie flat
Where they work

Sales, Proposals, Onboarding

B

Anywhere a company hands over a set of documents and wants them to feel organized and intentional. A folder turns a loose stack into a packet a prospect keeps on their desk instead of in the recycling.

  • Sales kits and leave-behinds
  • Proposals and capabilities decks
  • Client onboarding and welcome packets
  • Conference and event handouts
Options

Build the folder to fit the contents.

Pockets, stock, and finish are choices, not a fixed menu. Start with how the contents are organized and how the folder should feel in hand, and we will set the die and spec the paper to match.

Stock & Finishes

Pick the surface that sets the first impression.

A folder is held before it is read, so the finish does the first talking. Choose the coating that matches the impression you want, on heavy cover stock that keeps the folder from feeling flimsy.

FOLDER COVER
Velvet
PREMIUM FEEL
◆ SOFT-TOUCH LAMINATE
01 / 03 Most premium

Soft-Touch Laminate

A velvety surface that feels expensive.

A matte film with a suede-like hand that signals quality the instant it is picked up. The move for high-stakes proposals and executive leave-behinds.

PICK IFYou want the folder to feel premium in hand.
SKIP IFYou want the brightest, most saturated color.
FOLDER COVER
Vivid
HIGH SHINE
◆ GLOSS & UV COATING
02 / 03 Maximum punch

Gloss & UV Coating

The brightest, glossiest finish.

A reflective coated surface that makes logos and photography pop, with UV available for extra gloss and scuff resistance. Best when the cover is image-driven.

PICK IFThe cover is photo- or color-driven and needs to grab attention.
SKIP IFYou prefer a quiet, fingerprint-resistant matte.
FOLDER COVER
Refined
NO GLARE
◆ MATTE ON HEAVY COVER
03 / 03 Understated

Matte on Heavy Cover

Flat, glare-free, and substantial.

A non-reflective coating on 14pt, 16pt, or 100lb cover that reads as understated and resists fingerprints. Pairs well with type-led, professional brand systems.

PICK IFYou want a clean, professional, fingerprint-resistant cover.
SKIP IFYou want the most saturated possible color.

Pocket Depth

Standard or custom pocket depth so the contents sit secure without sticking up too far - tuned to how full the folder runs.

Matching Inserts

We print the sell sheets, proposals, and tabbed inserts that live inside, so the whole packet ships as one coordinated set from one shop.

Use Cases

What our customers use folders for.

Presentation folders show up wherever a company hands over documents and wants the moment to feel deliberate - across every vertical we serve.

B2B Sales Kits

The leave-behind a rep hands across the table - product sheets, pricing, and a business card in one organized packet.

Proposals & Bids

A double-pocket folder that separates the proposal from supporting collateral and makes a bid look as considered as it is.

Capabilities Decks

The overview packet a firm leaves at the end of a meeting - who we are, what we do, and how to reach us, in one cover.

Client Onboarding

A welcome packet that bundles agreements, getting-started guides, and contacts so a new client feels taken care of from day one.

Real Estate Packets

Listing presentations and buyer packets - comps, disclosures, and the agent's card - handed over as one polished folder.

Healthcare & Legal Intake

Patient and client intake packets that keep forms, notices, and instructions organized and easy to hand back.

In-House Capability

Why in-house matters for folders.

A folder lives or dies on fit and finish. When the press, the die-cutter, and the folder are all our team, the pockets line up and the deadline holds.

01

Color we control

Brand colors managed on our own equipment, so the logo on the folder matches the logo on the inserts and the rest of your printed collateral.

  • Consistent color across folder and inserts
  • CMYK production tuned per stock
  • Proof review before we commit the run
02

Speed when it counts

No outside finisher in the chain means fewer handoffs and a schedule we can compress for a pitch date or a conference deadline.

  • Print, cut, and fold on one schedule
  • Rush available on time-critical jobs
  • One team to call if the date moves
03

Die-cut & folded here

Pockets, slits, scoring, and folding handled by our team, so your folder arrives assembled and crisp instead of as a flat sheet you have to fold.

  • Die-cut pockets and card slits
  • Clean scoring for a flat fold
  • Assembled and packed display-ready

FAQ

Presentation folder FAQ.

The standard presentation folder is 9x12, which holds letter-size 8.5x11 sheets with room to spare and fits comfortably in a briefcase or mailing envelope. It is the size most sales kits, proposals, and capabilities decks are built around. If you need a different finished size, tell us what has to fit inside and we will set the die up correctly and quote it.
Yes. We die-cut diagonal slits into the pocket so a standard business card tucks in and stays put. It is the small touch that makes a folder feel finished, and it keeps the rep's card with the materials instead of loose in the packet. Slits are part of our in-house die-cutting, so there is no outside step to coordinate.
Both. A single pocket keeps a lean sales kit tidy and costs less to produce; a double pocket gives you two compartments to separate, for example, a proposal on one side and supporting collateral on the other. Pockets can be die-cut at standard or custom depth. Tell us how the contents are organized and we will recommend the layout.
Presentation folders run on heavy cover stock - typically 14pt or 16pt, or a 100lb cover - so the folder holds its shape and feels substantial in hand. For the surface, choose matte, gloss, soft-touch, or UV coating. Soft-touch gives a premium velvety feel; gloss and UV make color and photography pop. We will recommend the combination that matches the impression you want to make.
Yes. We print, die-cut the pockets and slits, score, and fold the folders in our own Lakeland shop. Keeping die-cutting and folding under one roof means tighter control over fit and registration, fewer handoffs, and a schedule we can compress when a deadline is tight - rather than waiting on an outside finisher.
We print short runs for a single pitch or event and larger quantities for ongoing sales programs and multi-office rollouts. Because folders involve a die, per-piece cost drops noticeably as quantity rises. Tell us how many you need now and whether you expect to reorder, and we will quote the most efficient run.
Yes. Our in-house design team can build your folder from a brief - your logo, brand colors, and the impression you want to make - laid out on the correct die with proper bleed for the pockets and slits. Design is quoted separately based on complexity. Mention you need design help when you request your quote.
Yes. We ship finished folders to all 50 states from our Lakeland, FL facility, packed flat or pre-folded and protected so the pockets arrive crisp. Local customers can also pick up in Lakeland. Our commercial customer base spans the entire United States, and folders often ship alongside the inserts and collateral we print for the same program.
